yey! i'm so glad to be home!
Switzerland / Denver was awesome -
I didn't hoop as much as I would've like due to space / weather constraints...
tho I eventually did hoop for my Oma - and she was quite happy -
she enjoyed spinning the hoop in a circle with me - and passing it off, holding it, having the lights around her.. she can no longer walk and no longer knows who I am.
it seemed that she did enjoy just the simplicity of playing with a "toy" in a sense - rather than looking a photos and being told "this is you!" "do you remember who this is?" - it's so hard to be 93 and just not know anymore... :(
but the hoop made her laugh and it made me so happy!
thanks to Sonie and Cheryl for making my first HOOPCLASS back so awesome -
on Valentines Night after my gig at Momos I hooped it up to Dan Dyer - and I just felt like a huge load was lifted of me - the joy and power that hooping brings to my life is so exceptional. I'm constantly in awe of it and giving thanks for this activity that truly brings me so much joy.
I'm making hoops for my new beginner class peeps and looking forward to Saturday -- not only to teach hooping - but to PLAY the NinA SimONE TRIBUTE (i've been practicing soooo much PiANO!!!) yey!
happy day!
